was certified to
teach Irish dancing in 1964, and taught until 1972 in New York, New
York. I was a judge in New York, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Family
health reasons made a move to Florida a necessity. There was no trace
of anything remotely Irish in St. Augustine at that time, so I retired
from dancing.
In 1997 I started dancing again in Savannah, Georgia, and have been
going strong ever since. I have produced many prize-winners, and have
been proud to see my daughter and grandson, not only dance, but come
home with the gold. I come from a dancing family, and I still enjoy
teaching both children and adults. From time to time I have a workshop
at my St. Augustine dance studio to acquaint my dancers with another
teacher's way of teaching. It is a wonderful experience for them.
